Nicky's Fortress Cake

Well after much delay and rescheduling due to illness we finally had Nicky's birthday party on Halloween. It was lots of fun.

I made him a castle cake with orange turrets (since it was Halloween) Let me tell you something...it's HARD to cover those darn towers with fondant! The princess castle that I made for the girls was SO much easier! Oh well! He loved it and that is all that matters. :-D

The second picture is courtesy of my darling Lishy who is the most awesome photographer on earth. :-D

Fantastic decorating! I am plotting how to do Ella's b-day cupcakes but think I wont even get CLOSE to you!!!!

Glad that the kidling is on the mend now. :)
It's almost like a vacation when everybody is well.

Katie: I have watched Cake Boss a couple of times. I'm a HUGE fan of Ace of Cakes though. I love Duff ever so much! And Mary Alice is like a slightly more evil version of myself so I can't not love her! hehehe

Julia: I love cupcakes, but I've never managed to actually decorate them cutely. I need to work on my cupcake skills! It really is like vacation! I don't know what to do with myself now that I'm not keeping track of who I gave meds when!

Susan: Years of practice, my dear. And far too much butter cream deposited on my waistline. ;)

Thirteen Things that take My Breath Away 1. This little Guy... Need I say More? 2. Eden Falls at the Lost Valley This picture doesn't even remotely do it justice. 13 Things I would Happily Take as Birthday Presents My Birthday is September 20th, but I'll be gone to Denmark. Holy cow, I'll be gone before next week's Thursday 13, so I doubt very seriously since I'll be in a plane all night that I'll be blogging. That means I'm going to be MIA for about two Thursday 13's! Aww, I'll miss you guys! Wish me luck, 8 hours in a plane with a two year old, *shudders* I and the other passengers are going to need it! So here we go! Stuff I'd happily accept as birthday gifts upon my return. A 3 book contract for my Women of Sithein series. They are all written and wrapped up, now I just need someone to love them as much as I do! 13 Things that Unless You’re One of My Girlfriends or my Husband You Probably Don’t Know About Me 1. I like costumes! A LOT! I would even go so far as to say I absolutely freakin’ adore costumes.
