The Roaring Aughts?

Okay, so I was visiting my grandmother last weekend and helped her restart her digital photo frame that the family got her for Christmas. And I saw this picture...

This is Minnie Martin, my mom's mom's mom, known to me as Mom Mom. Isn't she just the cuuuutest little flapper you've ever seen?

I've decided I have to dress up on Halloween as a flapper now. ;) I do so love costumes!

I found this wig...

And this dress...

Yes, I know I said I would never shop at Pyramid Collection again, but why is it that they have to have such awesome stuff!!!???

I've always wanted a fringed flapper dress for Halloween! YAY, Halloween is on a Saturday! I can get that day off, hehe.

Yay! We'll have to have a party or something!
Great photo of your Mom Mom. I love the title of your post - The Roaring Aughts! When I was a kid we had an honorary grandpa who was a very close family friend, and he was born in the late 1800's. He'd tell stories about something that happened 'in aught-nine.' I always loved that!

Thanks! I just loved it! I always like calling it the aughts. hehe There's something so downhome about it. :-D
Oh Lesley, your “Mom Mom” was a knockout! What an adorable flapper she was. I think the wig and dress you chose for your costume are just perfect. You’ll definitely have to have some pictures taken this Halloween! :-D

Wasn't she!? Oh you bet your rapidly shrinking booty I'll post pictures. I may even try to convince my best friend to recreate that photo. *makes eyes at Lisha*
