I think my plea for no more rain has gone unheard!!!

Flooding Shuts Down School in DeWitt and Stuttgart

Yeah, so DeWitt is where I grew up and Stuttgart is where my parents live...

I don't remember it ever flooding except on some really low lying spots growing up. It's just nuts!

I couldn't sleep last night, was too worried I was going to have to start defending my front door from the water! My welcome mat floated around in about an inch of water by my door.

I left the trash can out by the curb and measured 6 inches of water this morning.

Jenn: I'm afraid to say it for fear of reprisal, but at least at the moment things seem to be drying out. *knocks loudly on wood* I still can't believe there were two tornados within 10 miles of my house and the darn weather people never even issued a watch!!!

Thirteen Things that take My Breath Away 1. This little Guy... Need I say More? 2. Eden Falls at the Lost Valley This picture doesn't even remotely do it justice. The first time I saw Eden Falls was in the middle of the summer after a big rain storm so there was water absolutely gushing from it! 13 Things I would Happily Take as Birthday Presents My Birthday is September 20th, but I'll be gone to Denmark. Holy cow, I'll be gone before next week's Thursday 13, so I doubt very seriously since I'll be in a plane all night that I'll be blogging. That means I'm going to be MIA for about two Thursday 13's! Aww, I'll miss you guys! Wish me luck, 8 hours in a plane with a two year old, *shudders* I and the other passengers are going to need it! So here we go! 13 Things that Unless You’re One of My Girlfriends or my Husband You Probably Don’t Know About Me 1. I like costumes! A LOT! I would even go so far as to say I absolutely freakin’ adore costumes. All types of costumes! I have fairy costumes, vampire hunter costumes, vampire costumes, witch costumes (Cute ones! Not the stereotypical witch with green skin and warts.
